Christmas Salt Dough Decorations
Have you ever made salt dough Christmas decorations before?
I hadn't until this year but they are so quick and easy to make and they give your tree a really unique feel.
If you have kids then it is also a great way to keep them entertained for a few hours, and why not give your finished creations to grand-parents as a present?!
I made mine Christmas scented by adding some cinnamon and orange oil to the dough but that is optional and you can just stick to the basic recipe of:
1 Cup of Salt
2 Cups of Flour
1 Cup of Water
You mix it all together then knead it, cut into shapes, put on a baking tray and leave to dry out in the oven for a few hours on 100 degrees C or you can also leave to air dry somewhere warm for 24 hours.
When they are dry you can paint and decorate them as you please!
Here is what we did with ours...
